EXPERIENCE THE OLD WEST
AT THE OVERLAND HOTEL & SALOON

Map & Directions

WXPort

The historic Overland Hotel & Saloon is an excellent example of the lodging of the "Old West".

From the moment you walk through The Overland's door from Pioche's Main Street (a quaint throughfare teeming with over a century of Americana), you'll know that you've embarked upon a small journey back in time.

Whether you simply sidle up to our magnificent Brunswick bar for a drink, swap tall tales with the locals, or spend the night (or maybe more) in one of our thirteen spacious rooms, a visit to The Overland is a must for all those who want to savor a bit of the "Old West".

For those who want to take a bit of The Overland Hotel home with them, there is an antique store on the premises as well as a selection of our official logo merchandise.

HISTORY

The first building was erected on this site in 1863. Over the past 140 years, the Overland has seen service as a bordello, gambling house, boarding house and even a grocery store.

The existing building was rebuilt in 1948, after a fire devastated a third of the town of Pioche. The Overland then took up its current mantle as a hotel, saloon, and dance hall.

Our saloon feautres a magnificent, solid cherry wood back bar originally built in 1863, and a solid mahogany 1868 Brunswick bar. Our hotel registration desk is an antique bank teller's cage dating from the early 1900's, one of the few remaining relics rescued from the eastern Nevada ghost town of Kimberly.

The original solid oak flooring has been lovingly restored, ensuring that even your footsteps will echo with the past when you visit The Overland Hotel & Saloon.
